CHEESE AND WINE
The kitchen can be a good place to practise matchmaking skills
and with a little gastronomic experimentation anyone can discover
the perfect partner. Some combinations are a tried and tested success,
like fish and chips. Some have a more romantic heritage like champagne
and fruit, but a little experimentation can lead to some interesting
results.
There are so many different flavours in cheese that finding the
perfect partners can be a fascinating and rewarding task. If you
love speciality cheese, have a go at finding their perfect pairings
yourself and introduce them to your cheese board.’
In 2003 and 2002 two acknowledged wine experts were each asked
to select specific wines or drinks to accompany specific cheeses.
